A-64 Pallet Handler general features

Engine/drivetrain

Deutz, Cummins or Detroit Diesel (Mercedes), ranging from 138 hp to 173 hp (120 kW to 129 kW). Matched engine, converter, transmission and axle components provide power to climb all inclines while keeping low diesel emissions. Equipped with full reversing power shift transmissions and planetary drive axles with in-board wet disc brakes.

Chassis options

Ansul automatic Checkfire II fire suppression with linear detection loop. Wiggins fill for fuel, engine oil, engine coolant, hydraulic oil and transmission oil. Emergency stop button on rear frame. Central manual lubrication manifolds. Lincoln automatic lubrication.

Brakes

Fully hydraulic wet disc service brakes mounted at each axle. Equipped with secondary, spring-applied, hydraulic-released wet disc and park brake. Secondary brake automatically applies upon loss of brake accumulator psi, engine oil psi, transmission psi or electrical power for safe stopping in case of emergency.

Electrical system

Supplied with full engine/transmission instrumentation, voltmeter and hour meter. Fully sealed connectors and harnesses, instruments and associated switches mounted in sealed electrical boxes for low maintenance and long life.

Hydraulics

Hydraulic pallet locking mechanism secures the pallet to the pallet handler for safe transport. Hydraulic Power Takeoff diverts hydraulic oil from the pallet loading mechanism for pallets requiring hydraulic flow such as the fuel/lube pallet, water spray pallet and vacuum tank pallet. Hydraulic components readily accessible for easier repairs.

Optional knuckle boom crane package

Has a low mast height while allowing sections to be folded. The boom is not carried over the loaded deck, allowing respectively higher payloads, and does not have to be repositioned for pallet loading/unloading. No shock loads are induced on slewing components when extending the boom during tramming.

Flatdeck pallet

  • 82 in x 144 in (2,082 mm x 3,658 mm) flat pallet. 11,000 lbs
    (4,990 kg) payload capacity with load center 53 in (1,346 mm) from front bulkhead
  • Stake pockets and tie-down points along sides
  • Front bulkhead with visibility cutouts prevent loads from shifting forward over articulation.

Personnel carrier pallet

  • 16-man capacity with two padded bench seats along outside walls
  • Optional canopy protection (not a certified structure)

Water pallet

  • 1,200-gal (4,540 L) capacity tank. Supplied with dual fill points, sight gauges and inspection/cleanout covers.
  • Hydrostatic-powered water pump
  • Spray control in operator area
  • Basic controls for single spray pattern
  • Optional zoned coverage allowing selection of rear and either/both sides

Vacuum  pallet

  • 950 gal (3,596 L) capacity portable toilet service package
  • 650 gal (2,461 L) waste, 300 gal (1,136 L) fresh chemical
  • Hydraulic-driven vacuum pump
  • 25 ft (7,620 mm) service hose, valve & PVC wand, service wand holder, hose hanger

Lube Pallet
